Kids Street Dance Classes Portsmouth, Age 5-7
Every Monday after school, our Minis mix Hip-Hop grooves, Breaking floor moves and Afro fusion, to music from 70s and 80s Funk and Soul through to 90s R&B, Hip-Hop and House.
Hina from the Funk Format team leads each 45-minute session. Week by week they build rhythm and coordination, and the confidence to freestyle their own moves. No experience needed. Our classes welcome all abilities, our teachers have experience supporting children with SEND, and every teacher holds an enhanced DBS check.
What to wear
A t-shirt with joggers or leggings, and trainers without a platform sole. Bring a water bottle and a beanie.

- Your booking is valid on the next scheduled session. Please contact us if you want to book for a date in advance.
- Your booking is non-refundable.
- If you can not attend, you must notify us at least 48 hours before your session. We will offer you a one alternative date (subject to availability).
- Once you decide to attend weekly, please ask for the funky membership.
- If there are no places available, register for our waiting list here, and you’ll receive an update.
- Sessions are OFF during the school holidays.
